The Industrial Archives & Library (IAL) strives to protect the privacy of its patrons. We are committed to delivering a safe and valuable experience when visiting our website. We collect both statistical and personal information on our site.


IAL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Information on this website is presented purely for educational and informational purposes. Your use of this website is subject to the provisions of this privacy policy.

Statistical Information

Like many other websites, IAL collects statistical information as users navigate the site. This information is analyzed in aggregate — that is we collect information about thousands of site visits and analyze it as a whole. We use these statistics to help make our site more useful to visitors and to improve the services we offer. We may share aggregated information, which does not contain personal information, with other organizations. Some of the information we collect, in aggregate, from our users includes:

The security of your personal information is a primary concern of IAL. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

Whenever we collect sensitive, personal information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. When sending this information to third-party services, including MailChimp and PayPal, the information is encrypted as well to ensure that your information is safeguarded. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While the Industrial Archives & Library has no obligation to do so, the Industrial Archives & Library reserves the right to review and delete (or modify) any content that we believe, in our sole discretion, violates these terms or other applicable policies posted on this website, or that we deem, in our sole discretion, inappropriate.
