Stacks hold many types of records in the Industrial Archives & Library’s storage facilities.

The archival collection at the Industrial Archives & Library holds information related to America’s industrial past in many forms. Records cover early 19th century through the present. Record types include, but are not limited to paper, blueprints, A/V materials, photographs, and negatives.

Current holdings include materials related to: steel (Bethlehem Steel and Youngstown Sheet and Tube), mining and quarrying (anthracite and slate), banking (Union Bank and Trust of Bethlehem and predecessors), shipbuilding (Bethlehem Steel), railroading, and other industries.

Staff are constantly working to increase the number of cataloged materials available for research.

If you wish to research, please learn more information on our Research at IAL page.
